Whenever you lodge an enquiry with the BYDA service, details of the enquiry are passed along to relevant asset owners who have an interest in the area of your job site. Each of these is known as a referral.
You can view details of all enquiries you have lodged from the My Enquiries page or from your dashboard. Each enquiry includes a list of all the referrals that have been sent to asset owners based on the location of your job site.
Each referral for your enquiry, includes information about the asset owner and their response.
- Organisation name – the name of the asset owner to whom your enquiry has been sent.
- Referral ID – a unique number representing the referral which can be used when discussing your enquiry with the asset owner. This number will also be used on all communications.
- Typical wait time – this is an estimate of how long you might have to wait to receive a response from the organisation. Your response may be received sooner or later than this estimate.
- Response status – a check mark will be shown next to any referral where a response has already been sent back to you.
- Contact details – clicking on a referral will reveal the phone number and email address of the asset owner allowing you to get in touch to discuss your job in more detail.
Not all asset owners are members of Before You Dig. It is your responsibility to ensure you have located all assets at your job site.
