Webcentral Email Delivery Issue (3 August 2023)

An issue was reported starting on Thursday 3rd August 2023 regarding delays in receiving emails from the BYDA referral service. Affected users may not be receiving some or all of their expected emails after lodging an enquiry.

This issue is caused by a problem with the internet services company Webcentral. Problems with DNS propagation mean that emails cannot be routed to some Webcentral customers.

If you are not receiving emails, you can check if your company is using Webcentral name servers using Google Tools.

Enter your email domain name. If your name servers look like ns1.netregistry.net, ns2.netregistry.net, ns3.netregistry.net then you might be affected by this issue. Your internal IT team should contact the Webcentral support team.


We contacted Webcentral support on Friday 4th August and were given the following statement: –

We had a server issue yesterday wherein the servers are not propagating in some locations BUT it is not affecting all . So [users] need to contact us. They should not be contacting you. Please tell them to contact us so we can have a look at their issues
